The request came in just two days before Tsuchiya's arrival. With limited time, I needed to:
Find a legal, spacious, and low-traffic location in Manhattan for the cruise kickoff
Gather a curated group of 60+ car owners who could show up on short notice
Ensure safety and flow for a rolling convoy through NYC streets — ending in a historic Times Square run

Keiichi Tsuchiya, known as the "Drift King," is a legendary Japanese race car driver and cultural icon who pioneered drifting as a motorsport. Rising from the street racing scene, he gained fame by introducing his unique oversteer techniques into professional racing circuits. His influence extends beyond the track, serving as a consultant for the popular Initial D manga and anime and appearing in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

With less than 48 hours notice, organize a surprise New York City car cruise for legendary Japanese drift racer Keiichi Tsuchiya, as part of his appearance at Drift Battle USA. Involved scouting a Manhattan staging location for 60+ vehicles, inviting trusted members of the Daikoku NYC community, local content creators and coordinating a rolling convoy through Times Square.
